On April 11th, it was reported that the new BYD SONG PLUS EV for 2023 has been filed for approval and will feature a major redesign. One interesting aspect of this model is the optional “Escort 05” tail badge. We believe that this model shares the same platform as the BYD Escort 05 pure electric version.
The new Song PLUS EV adopts a single-motor front-wheel drive, with two motor versions of 150 kW and 160 kW, slightly higher than the current 135 kW; equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, the range may also be improved.
The overall dimension of the vehicle is 4785/1890/1660mm with a wheelbase of 2765mm. It adopts an oceanic aesthetic design, with the logo on the front changed to BYD letters. It also has a series of optional parts.
