On April 18th, it was announced that the BYD Dynasty Network’s Song L concept car was globally debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show. As a new high-end B-class pure electric SUV for the Dynasty Network, the Song L adopts the network’s new generation of “Vanguard Dragon Beauty” design language, targeting young users who pursue stylish and sporty vehicles.
According to the official introduction, “Song L is a pioneering SUV that combines sports and strength, breaking the traditional styling and creating a new generation of “Pioneer Dragon Face Aesthetics” inspired by light.”
The overall side lines of the vehicle are dynamically cut by light, with a sharp and elegant posture. The waistline runs through the body, forming a curved surface with a blend of light and shadow, showing a perfect balance of elegance and power.
The headlights of the car feature a built-in “3D stereo dragon beard” and are accompanied by a carbon fiber material sports surround that exudes a strong sense of athleticism. The car also features the iconic Chinese knot-shaped taillights of BYD, along with a super-wide rear shoulder design that highlights the fullness of its muscles, showcasing the unique wide-body visual characteristics of the Song L. The electric tail wing and frameless doors make their first appearance in a BYD vehicle, further enhancing the sporty feel of the Song L.
BYD’s new technology is embodied in the Song L, with e-platform 3.0, CTB integrated battery technology, and intelligent electric four-wheel drive combining to create a powerful sports gene. Equipped with the industry’s first Cloud-Track intelligent body control system, it perfectly combines comfort and handling, giving drivers and passengers a sense of luxury. The new generation of intelligent cockpit will be open to user co-creation, allowing users to become participants in the product’s development, function creators, and software contributors.
SONG L is expected to be released and launched in the market by 2023.
