On July 31, BYD Japan announced that its authorized dealer, Wing, will open a store named “BYD AUTO Yamanashi” in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture on August 4. This will be BYD’s eighth store in Japan.
BYD Japan announced that the newly opened store will be the first store in the Koshinetsu region. The new store is located along the Art Museum Street, about 2 kilometers from the “Kofu Showa IC” on the central highway, with convenient transportation.
The Yamanashi store will display the mid-size electric SUV “ATTO 3” that is currently on sale all year round. In addition to business negotiations and test drive services, service personnel specially trained by BYD will also provide vehicle inspection, maintenance and other services at the store.
Previously reported, BYD opened its first store in Japan in Yokohama in February this year. The company’s goal is to have more than 100 showrooms across Japan by the end of 2025. In addition to the newly opened Yamanashi store, BYD plans to open two stores in Adachi and Hiroshima in early September. Currently, BYD has 47 stores in operation or planned in Japan.
