On June 16th, BYD held a brand and product launch conference in Italy, announcing its entry into the Italian passenger car market and the launch of four models including BYD ATTO 3, Han, Dolphin, and Sea Lion. Five stores will open simultaneously in cities such as Milan, Turin, and Florence.
As the first model to enter the Italian market, BYD ATTO 3 adopts BYD’s pure electric exclusive platform e platform 3.0, which has four major characteristics of intelligence, efficiency, safety, and aesthetics, and improves low temperature endurance by 20%. It adopts BYD Dragon Face 3.0 design language and has excellent aerodynamic design. The vehicle’s drag coefficient is as low as 0.29, with a hundred-kilometer acceleration of 7.3 seconds, and NEDC range of up to 480km.
In mid-June, at the Monza Car Show in Milan, BYD ATTO 3 will open for public test drives in Italy for the first time. As of now, BYD’s global sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded 4.3 million units.
According to official sources, BYD has been active in overseas markets this year. On March 13th, it announced a partnership with UK electric vehicle company Octopus Electric Vehicles (Octopus EV), wherein Octopus EV will purchase 5,000 electric vehicles from BYD for the UK market over the next three years.
On April 1st, BYD officially entered the Spanish market and simultaneously launched three pure electric vehicle models – the Han, Tang, and BYD ATTO 3. Two flagship stores were opened in the center of Madrid and Barcelona.
