BYD has officially released the design of its compact pure electric sedan, the 2023 BYD e2. The company also announced that the vehicle will be launched on April 6th and will be available for sale on the BYD Ocean website.
It is reported that the 2023 BYD e2 adopts an optimized and upgraded ocean family style, such as a new enclosed front grille with the BYD brand logo, slender headlights on both sides, and a three-stage air intake decoration, making the whole car look very smooth and dynamic. The tail retains the current through-type taillight and other styling designs.
The new car uses the eight-in-one electric powertrain and heat pump air conditioning of the e-platform 3.0; equipped with a 10.1 / 12.8 inch intelligent rotating PAD, paired with an 8.8 inch full LCD instrument panel, as well as a new DiLink intelligent networking system and intelligent voice interaction, TPMS tire pressure monitoring system, rear parking radar and other functions.
On the body size, the new car is 4260/1760/1530mm in length, width and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2610mm.
In terms of power, it will be equipped with an eight-in-one electric powertrain based on the E-platform 3.0, with a high-energy-efficiency heat pump system standard across the range, and a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with a maximum power of 70 kilowatts.
