On April 11th, the DENZA N8 series has appeared in the latest batch of application lists from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The new vehicle will be available in two power versions: a single-motor front-wheel drive and a dual-motor four-wheel drive.
The new car is positioned as a mid-size SUV and offers 5/6/7 seater models. Its design adopts DENZA’s brand-new π-Motion kinetic aesthetic design language.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the pure electric range of plug-in hybrid models is 192km (119 miles) with a battery capacity of 45kWh; the maximum power of the single motor version is 160kW, and the maximum power of the dual motors in the front/rear is 160kW/200kW. The size of the new car is 4949/1950/1725mm, with a wheelbase of 2830mm.
- The EV two-wheel drive version is equipped with a 230kW single motor
- The EV four-wheel drive version is equipped with 230/200kW dual motors
- The DM-i version is equipped with a 160kW single motor and a 102kW 1.5T Xiaoyun engine
- The DM-p version is equipped with 160kW/200kW dual motors and a 102kW 1.5T Xiaoyun engine
The appearance design of DENZA N8 is derived from DENZA’s classic model DENZA X and incorporates DENZA’s brand-new design language – Π-MOTION Kinetic Aesthetics, which has more aesthetics and dynamics, as well as a modern technological style. At the same time, compared with DENZA X, the body length of DENZA N8 has also been correspondingly improved, and the fluid waistline design is more tough and dynamic, while minimizing the wind resistance of DENZA N8. In terms of the rear, the through-type taillight design continues the brand’s family style and complements the headlights of the front face.
Three types of wheel hubs can be optionally selected for this model, and a panoramic sunroof is standard.
The interior and specific power data of DENZA N8 are still to be officially announced. In the previous warm-up period, the official confirmed that the new car supports low-temperature charging, cold start, intelligent temperature control, and can switch between EV / HEV modes. The maximum charging power of the EV version is 175kW, and the maximum charging power of the DM version is 90kW. It adopts a wide-temperature range and high-efficiency heat pump air conditioning, thus having lower energy consumption.
