BYD DENZA N7 announces global debut of iADC intelligent drift control system

On May 15th, DENZA N7 announced the global debut of iADC (intelligence Adaptive Drift Control).

Smarter assistance, easy to master

More confident operation, more controllable drifting

Multiple working condition tests, allowing for complete control of drifting.

It is reported that iADC lowers the operation threshold for the driver by intelligently assisting them in completing drifting maneuvers through real-time fusion control of suspension stiffness and height, driving torque, and braking torque.

DENZA N7 can activate iADC with just one click: the suspension is immediately linked, the height is lowered, and the stiffness is increased, allowing the driver to accelerate fully and only adjust the direction. At the same time, the system monitors the vehicle’s dynamics and adjusts in real-time, reducing the dimensions that the driver needs to operate.

In addition, this feature provides 10 adjustable levels based on different working conditions and driving levels. By changing the front and rear torque distribution and brake system intervention threshold, it is divided into “beginner mode”, “player mode”, and “master mode” with 10 levels from low to high, gradually increasing in difficulty, and decreasing in system intervention level.

It is worth mentioning that the new car supports HUD, instrument panel, and large screen with three-screen linkage, which can display real-time vehicle dynamic parameters. The visualization and dynamic analysis of body dynamic parameters can be quantified and have recording and analysis functions.

According to reports, it can also be jointly calibrated with ESP to precisely control the intervention timing and ensure safe takeover. Unlike the common method of manually turning off ESP drift in general rear-wheel drive performance cars, iADC will automatically link with the ESP stability program and intervene automatically after the vehicle posture is in place, ensuring safety and greatly reducing the cost of mistakes.

Currently, DENZA N7 has released information on its appearance, Diwale brand sound system, and Yunnian A technology, and will soon release information on its handling, safety, space, and intelligence. The new car will offer a rear-wheel drive version with a range of 702km and a four-wheel drive version with a range of 630km to choose from.

According to previous reports, DENZA N7 combines the shapes of Shooting Brake vehicles, coupes, and SUVs in its exterior design, featuring a closed front face and equipped with hidden door handles, through-type taillights, and large-size wheels.

On the interior, the DENZA N7 supports an AR-HUD instrument screen which constantly displays suspended road condition information, eliminating the need to turn your head to check the instrument panel and center console screen. In addition, the DENZA Link is equipped with a 6nm chip, supporting a million application ecology, integrating 5G technology and a Deva Lei audio system. It features a six-screen immersive intelligent scene, with the co-pilot listening to music and watching dramas, and an intelligent color-changing ambient light that can be paired with a power-operated sunshade.

Regarding power, the DENZA N7 single motor version has a rated power of 70 kW and a peak power of 230 kW for the driving motor; the dual motor version has a rated power of 75 kW for the front motor and 70 kW for the rear motor, with a peak power of 160 kW for the front motor and 230 kW for the rear motor.
