BYD has released official promotional images of its new micro electric vehicle, the Seagull. The car features a 5-door, 4-seat design and is built on the e-platform 3.0, positioned below the Dolphin.
The Seagull boasts an athletic low-slung design with sharp edges. The front grille is enclosed and features a trapezoidal air intake, with two large and sharp headlights that BYD refers to as “Ice-breaking Eyes.” The car’s dimensions are 3780/1715/1540 mm with a wheelbase of 2500 mm.
Regarding power, according to the declared information, the BYD Seagull will offer two types of electric motors with a maximum power of 55 kW and 70 kW respectively, with a maximum speed of 130 km/h and a maximum range of up to 400 km.
BYD has stated that the expected price range for the Seagull is between 80,000 – 100,000 yuan, which is approximately 12,200 to 15,300 US dollars based on the current exchange rate. The specific launch time is still under planning.
