BYD has delivered 12,000 units of the BYD ATTO 3 car in the Thai market

According to BYD Auto, the 44th Bangkok International Auto Show has recently opened, and BYD has unveiled 8 new energy vehicles, including the Dolphin model with standard endurance version released for the first time in Thailand, priced at 799,999 baht (approximately $24,450 USD). By comparison, the 2023 BYD Dolphin has an official guide price of 116,800-136,800 yuan in China.

BYD displayed a total of 8 new energy vehicle models, including the Tang EV, Han EV, Sea Lion, Dolphin, Escort 07, Tang DM-i, BYD ATTO 3, and Song PLUS DM-i, covering sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and pure electric and hybrid models.

The newly released Dolphin model has a small and exquisite appearance, and the interior design is inspired by the dynamic posture of dolphins, adopting soft and smooth lines to form a flowing visual effect. Meanwhile, the Dolphin is built on BYD’s pure electric platform e-platform 3.0, with an NEDC range of 410km.

BYD stated: “Thailand is the global debut location for the right-hand-drive version of the Dolphin. Dolphin orders received before April 30th will all arrive at Thai ports before July 1st.”

As of March 20th, BYD has delivered about 12,000 BYD ATTO 3 vehicles in the Thai market and completed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Thai passenger car production base on March 10th.

BYD Yuan PLUS (known as ATTO 3 overseas) is built on BYD’s pure electric exclusive platform e-platform 3.0, with four major features: intelligent, efficient, safe, and aesthetic. It improves low-temperature endurance by 20% and comes with an intelligent driving assistance system, bringing a more efficient, safer, and personalized intelligent electric vehicle experience. The BYD Yuan PLUS adopts BYD Dragon Face 3.0 design language, with excellent aerodynamic design and a vehicle drag coefficient as low as 0.29, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.3 seconds. In addition, the maximum range of the Yuan PLUS can reach 480km (NEDC).

The BYD Thai passenger car production base project covers an area of about 96 hectares and is expected to be put into operation in 2024, with an annual production capacity of about 150,000 new energy vehicles. The BYD Thai factory is expected to adopt right-hand-drive car technology, and the cars produced will be put into the local Thai market and radiate to other ASEAN countries and regions.
