Tesla’s Model Y/3 has dropped in price again in the US with the L R Model Y now priced at $49,990

On April 19, it was reported that on April 18, local time in the United States, Tesla lowered the price of the Model Y Long Range by 9.1% to $49,990, lowered the price of the Model Y Performance by 8.5% to $53,990, and lowered the price of the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive by 7% to $39,990.

Earlier on April 7, Tesla lowered prices in the United States, with the Model 3 and Model Y each reduced by $1,000 and $2,000, respectively, and the Model S and Model X reduced by $5,000, with overall reductions ranging from 2% to 6%. At the same time, Tesla officially launched a lower-priced Model Y model in the United States, equipped with an AWD power system, with a starting price of $49,990.

In fact, since last year, Tesla has launched a price war worldwide. In the Chinese market, Tesla significantly lowered the prices of the Model 3 and Model Y models at the beginning of the year, with a decrease ranging from 20,000 to 48,000 yuan, and the starting price of the basic version of the Model 3 was lowered to 229,900 yuan, with the largest reduction of up to 20% for the base version of the Model Y.

In the first quarter of this year, Tesla delivered a total of 422,900 new vehicles, an increase of 4% compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 36% compared to the same period last year, setting a new record for single-quarter deliveries.
