A senior executive at the Sovereign Wealth Fund expects that Tesla’s delivery volume in the first quarter of this year will increase by at least 5% compared to the previous quarter.
In the fourth quarter of last year, Tesla delivered a total of 405,278 electric vehicles to users. Calculated by a growth rate of 5%, the delivery volume in the first quarter of this year will reach 425,542, which is higher than the market’s current generally expected 420,000.
From media reports, the Sovereign Wealth Fund executive expects Tesla’s first-quarter delivery volume to increase by at least 5%, with factors such as increased demand and production capacity.
In terms of demand, the aggressive price reduction strategy is expected to drive sales in the US and China to new highs, while with the increase in production capacity of the Berlin Super Factory Model Y, the European market is also expected to perform strongly.
On the supply side, production capacity has increased. Foreign media reported that at the Investor Day at the beginning of the month, Tesla’s management hinted that they had increased production capacity to cope with the price reduction. The Sovereign Wealth Fund executive stated that if production capacity cannot meet expectations, Tesla management’s credibility will be greatly reduced.
Looking at the past few quarters, Tesla has announced its production and delivery volume on its official website on the second day after the end of each quarter. The production and delivery volume in the first quarter of this year is expected to be announced on April 2, and the final performance will be revealed after the announcement.
