On April 25th, it was reported that Tesla received a large order of Model 3 cars from Arabia taxi Dubai, a taxi company based in the United Arab Emirates. Arabia taxi Dubai announced that it would purchase 269 Tesla Model 3 cars to add to its taxi fleet in the region.
This order is just one of many that Tesla has received, as American car rental company Hertz has also placed an order worth billions of dollars for tens of thousands of electric vehicles including Model Y and Model 3 cars from Tesla.
Tesla has been actively increasing production as the company places sales growth above profits in a sluggish economy, and is striving to achieve CEO Musk’s goal of selling 20 million electric vehicles by 2030.
To meet the growing demand for electric vehicles and to increase production, Tesla raised its capital expenditure forecast for 2023 from $6-8 billion to $7-9 billion on Monday.
