The Berlin Gigafactory is Tesla’s fourth Gigafactory, which was confirmed for construction in November 2019 and opened on March 22, 2022. Currently, it only produces the Model Y.

Since its opening, the factory’s production capacity has continuously increased. In mid-June 2022, its weekly production reached 1,000 vehicles, increasing to 2,000 in October 2022, 3,000 in December 2022, 4,000 in February 2023, and 5,000 in March 2023.

In late March of this year, Tesla confirmed that it had added a third shift at the Berlin Gigafactory, which helped the company achieve a weekly production of 5,000 cars.

The factory’s annual production target is 500,000 vehicles, which equates to a weekly production of around 10,000 cars. However, the factory has not yet reached this production rate.
