In addition, the price of Tesla Model 3 in China has increased to 231,900 yuan, and the Model 3 Performance version has increased to 331,900 yuan, with expected delivery within 1-4 weeks.
Model Y prices in the US have increased to $47,240, with the Long Range version now at $50,240, and the Tesla Model Y Performance now at $54,240. Model 3 prices have also increased to $40,240 and $53,240.
Just this April, Tesla lowered the price of the Model Y Long Range to $49,990, the Model Y Performance to $53,990, and the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive to $39,990.
On April 7th, earlier this year, Tesla lowered the prices of their cars in the United States. The Model 3 and Model Y were reduced by $1,000 and $2,000 respectively, while the Model S and Model X were reduced by $5,000. The overall reduction ranged from 2% to 6%. At the same time, Tesla officially launched a lower-priced Model Y in the US market, with an AWD power system and a starting price of $49,990.
In fact, Tesla has been waging a price war globally since last year. In the Chinese market, Tesla significantly reduced the prices of the Model 3 and Model Y earlier this year, with reductions ranging from 20,000 to 48,000 yuan. The starting price of the Model 3 was reduced to 229,900 yuan, while the basic version of the Model Y had the largest reduction of 20%.
In the first quarter of this year, Tesla delivered a total of 422,900 new cars, an increase of 4% compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 36% year-on-year, setting a new record for single-quarter deliveries.
