On August 14th, Tesla began producing the Cybertruck electric pickup truck at Gigafactory Texas, with multiple vehicles rolling off the assembly line. This is the latest sign that Tesla is about to formally launch production and delivery of the Cybertruck.
Cybertruck is a new electric pickup truck released by Tesla in November 2019. Tesla originally planned to begin production and delivery of the Cybertruck by the end of 2021, but due to various factors, the plan has been delayed until 2023. According to Tesla’s latest schedule, Cybertruck will begin shipping to employees and internal personnel at the end of September. At that time, Tesla is also expected to announce the final price and specifications of Cybertruck.
To verify the progress of Cybertruck production, some drone enthusiasts regularly fly over the Texas super factory to capture footage of the factory inside and out. We noticed that in the latest drone footage, they found at least nine Cybertrucks have been produced and there were even more Cybertrucks inside the factory, possibly indicating that Tesla recently conducted a batch test production.
Apart from producing Cybertruck at the Texas Gigafactory, Tesla has at least 5 Cybertrucks undergoing testing in New Zealand and Cybertrucks being tested on highways in California. This indicates that Tesla has produced a considerable number of Cybertrucks and is preparing for the official launch of production.
