One option is to take delivery of a current Model 3 in stock, which is eligible for an 8000 yuan insurance subsidy and a 3500 yuan friend referral gift, for a total price of 220,400 yuan.
The second option is to select a preferred vehicle to be delivered within 60 days. This option also includes the 3500 yuan friend referral gift. Even if the price of the facelifted Model 3 is higher than the current starting price of 231,900 yuan, it can still be purchased at the current discounted price.
On August 14th, Tesla announced that customers who purchase and take delivery of a rear-wheel drive Model 3 by September 30th, 2023, and purchase corresponding insurance through a cooperative insurance institution, can enjoy an 8000 yuan insurance subsidy. Additionally, customers who purchase a Model 3/Y through a friend referral can enjoy an additional 3500 yuan discount. The market believes that Tesla’s move is aimed at clearing inventory and preparing for the launch of the facelifted Model 3.
