As previously reported by the media, the Tesla Model S / X recently launched a new Ultra Red paint color price of $3000, replacing the previous Red Multi-Coat, and now the Model X Ultra Red new paint color actual pictures have been exposed online.

This Model X Ultra Red showed up at Tesla’s Fremont factory, and judging from the pictures, Ultra Red is darker and more textured than the original Red Multi-Coat. The paint process is the same for both vehicles, with both using Multi-Coat technology.
Tesla currently has three types of red paint for different models in the global market, including Red Multi-Coat paint for Model 3 in the global market; Midnight Cherry Red paint for Model Y in the European market and Red Multi-Coat paint for other markets; and Flame Red paint for Model S and Model X in the global market. Model S and Model X are unified in the global market with Ultra Red paint.
Tesla is also reportedly communicating with Model S/X customers who have ordered Red Multi-Coat paint that they can change to Ultra Red paint for free, without paying the $500 price difference.
The Berlin Super Factory, which houses Tesla’s most advanced paint factory in the world, is offering the more technically sophisticated Midnight Cherry Red paint for the Model Y. The paint uses Tesla’s latest paint technology and will have 13 layers of paint, with different visual effects depending on line of sight and light.
