On May 5th, Tesla released a teaser on its official Twitter account indicating that the Track Package, suitable for the Model S Plaid with ceramic brakes, is about to be released, allowing the vehicle to reach speeds exceeding 322 km/h (201 mph).
The design of the Model S Plaid has a top speed of 262 km/h (163 mph), which can be increased to 281 km/h (175 mph) with Track Mode.
Official data shows that the Model S Plaid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds. It also features the latest three-motor design, which gives the vehicle a longer range than previous versions, up to 628 km.
The Track Package uses the previously announced carbon-ceramic brake kit to unleash the vehicle’s 1000 horsepower performance by improving stability and maximizing cornering force. The price of the Track Package is estimated to be between $15,000 and $20,000.
