According to a report by Reuters, despite Tesla’s clear statement in their privacy policy that “your privacy is, and always will be, paramount to us,” multiple former employees have revealed the opposite to be true.

The report revealed that Tesla’s internal team frequently shared sensitive customer information on their internal messaging system between 2019 and 2022.

This information included videos of car accidents and customers experiencing road rage. For example, an employee shared a video from 2021 showing a Tesla driving at high speeds in a residential area. In another video, a naked man can be seen approaching a Tesla vehicle.

A former employee stated that Tesla’s internal culture involved sharing these “funny” videos. Tesla’s privacy policy also states that “camera recordings remain anonymous,” but former employees claim that they used a program during their work that showed the recording’s location and could potentially reveal the Tesla owner’s address.
