On July 4th, user @用户6640957954 on the Chinese social media platform Weibo released a set of new car spy photos with the caption “Guess the car from the picture.” From the design of the new car’s front face and headlight assembly, it is obvious that the new car is the XPENG X9, an MPV model that XPENG has not yet released.
From the exterior, the new car uses a family-style front face design and a sleek back-end design, which is relatively rare in MPV models. At the same time, the Weibo user also captured the interior of the new car, which was revealed to the public for the first time.
The interior of the car adopts a black and white dual-tone design, which is similar in style to the recently launched XPENG G6, equipped with a large suspended central control screen, a double-spoke steering wheel, and a large storage space formed by digging out the area below the center console. In terms of materials, it can be seen that the new car uses large areas of leather wrapping in many places, but the center console is covered tightly with a layer of cloth.
Previously reported, XPENG CEO He Xiaopeng announced on social media that its new MPV model is named X9, which is claimed to “use this product to open the ‘youthful’ MPV market.” He Xiaopeng also stated during the Q4 2022 earnings call that XPENG will launch a new pure electric 7-seater MPV in the fourth quarter of this year, which is expected to be the XPENG X9.
