On May 14th, it was reported that after the NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition was previously exposed online for shooting advertising films in Europe, the real car images of this vehicle have now also been leaked. It is expected that the NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition will be released simultaneously in the Chinese and European markets in June.
According to previous declaration information, the front face design of NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition is basically the same as that of the current NIO ET5 sedan. The front face lines are round and smooth, with split-style headlights and bumper side air intakes, giving off a sporty feel. It is worth noting that NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition is also equipped with roof-mounted LiDAR as a driver assistance sensing hardware. In terms of the rear part, NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition has a significant difference from the current ET5 sedan, with a fuller overall shape and a larger trunk opening area. In terms of size, the length, width, and height of NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition are 4790/1960/1499 millimeters, with a wheelbase of 2888 millimeters. Similar to the sedan model, the main difference lies in the trunk position.
Additionally, the NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition can be equipped with a roof rack and towing package, enhancing the vehicle’s practicality. In terms of power, the NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition will use the same powertrain as the sedan version, with a maximum power of 150 kW for the front motor and 210 kW for the rear motor. As for the battery, the NIO ET5 Shooting Brake Edition will offer a choice of 75 kWh ternary lithium battery and 100 kWh ternary lithium battery. Meanwhile, NIO’s 150 kWh semi-solid-state battery is expected to be launched by the end of this year, but specific battery life information has not been disclosed.
