On April 18th, NIO officially unveiled its new generation ES6 and 2023 ET7 at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. According to NIO Chairman and CEO William Li, the new ES6 is a member of the 4-second club and is said to be the “ceiling of high-end midsize SUVs” in terms of both horsepower and computing power.
As can be seen from the figure, the new NIO ES6 adopts a familial design language. The vehicle is equipped with a zero-gravity queen co-pilot and has a computing power of 1016T. An optional trailer kit is also available. It will be officially released in late May this year.
NIO ES6 comes in a special color called “Galaxy Purple” and is equipped with 23 Dolby panoramic speakers, a 201-inch AR display, claiming to have the widest horizontal seating space in its class, and the only electrically adjustable rear seat angle in its class. It also has a large openable sunroof, and foldable rear seats, among other features.
In addition, the 2023 NIO ET7 was also released at this auto show with 15 detailed updates compared to the previous generation, including the addition of Aurora Gold car paint, towing package, N-Box, heated front windshield, etc. The price remains at 458,000 to 536,000 yuan (71,000 to 83,000 US dollars), and pre-orders have already been opened with deliveries starting in mid-May.
