On June 5th, NIO Sweden released a poster with a date of June 15, 2023. It is reported that the NIO ET5 Touring will be globally launched on June 15, and according to official information, it will first be delivered in the Chinese market.
The NIO ET5 Touring is built with NIO’s latest family design concept, featuring a wagon-style body shape with a heavily inclined D-pillar and a spoiler design. The rear end has a very symmetrical proportion, matched with through-type taillights, making it very aesthetically pleasing.
The new car has passed the declaration and certification information shows that the front face design of NIO ET5 Touring is basically the same as the current NIO ET5 sedan.
It is worth noting that the NIO ET5 Touring is also equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR as a driving assistance hardware. In the rear part, the NIO ET5 Touring differs greatly from the current ET5 sedan version, with a fuller overall shape and a larger trunk opening area.
In terms of size, the NIO ET5 Touring measures 4790/1960/1499 millimeters in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2888 millimeters. Like the sedan version, the main difference is in the trunk location.
As for the power, the NIO ET5 Touring power system is consistent with that of the ET5, equipped with a front 150kW induction/asynchronous motor and a rear 210kW permanent magnet/synchronous motor, with a total system power of 360kW, and equipped with 70kWh, 75kWh, and 100kWh capacity batteries, corresponding to CLTC pure electric range of 530km, 475km, 680km, and 610km, respectively.
