On August 23rd, Auto Express reported on road test photos of the Mercedes EQC Mk2 electric vehicle.
Note: After the EQC model is launched, it will directly compete with BMW’s iX3 and Audi’s upcoming Q6 E-tron.
EQC is the first mass-produced electric vehicle developed by Mercedes-Benz, positioned as a pioneer. Although it has made some compromises in terms of driving range and efficiency, the EQC model has been well received by consumers since its launch.
The 2025 EQC will adopt Mercedes’ brand-new MMA platform, which can accommodate larger batteries and more intelligent electric motors compared to the current EVA platform in use.
The MMA model will offer a choice between single motor and dual motor power systems, with a stronger emphasis on vertical integration of components such as batteries to help reduce costs and tailor them more precisely to meet the requirements of the EQC.
According to the leaked road test photos, the 2025 EQC model will feature a shorter hood and a more compact overall design.
