On October 25th, 2022, the Lotus Eletre was officially launched with a reference price range of CNY 828,000 to 1,028,000 (approximately USD 12.9 to 16.0 million).
Today, Lotus brand held the Lotus Day brand event in Shanghai, and the first batch of 75 Lotus Eletre owners successfully completed delivery at this event.
As a pure electric luxury mid-to-large SUV with a focus on sports performance, Lotus Eletre is divided into two versions:
- Lotus Eletre S+ version: priced at 828,000 yuan (approximately $129,000), will be delivered in March 2023
- Lotus Eletre R+ version: priced at 1.028 million yuan (approximately $160,000), will be delivered in May 2023
Lotus Eletre is built on the EPA architecture and positioned as a pure electric mid-to-large SUV. The dimensions of the new car are 5103/2019/1630mm (excluding mirrors) in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3019mm, and a drag coefficient of only 0.26cd.
There are two versions of power to choose from, both equipped with a front and rear dual-motor four-wheel drive system. The Eletre S+ has a maximum comprehensive power of 450kW, while the Eletre R+ has a maximum comprehensive power of 675kW. Their peak torque are 710N・m and 985N・m, respectively. Additionally, the new car is equipped with a two-speed gearbox matched to the rear motor, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds and 2.95 seconds, respectively.
Additionally, the new car supports 800V high-voltage fast charging, which can drive 120km after charging for 5 minutes, and it only takes 20 minutes to replenish the battery from 10% to 80%; the battery capacity is 112kWh, and the CLTC range is 650km and 560km respectively.
With a charging power of 350kW, it takes 20 minutes to charge and add 400 kilometers of range, and it is also compatible with 22kW AC power charging. The track version R+ is equipped with a track-exclusive driving mode and standard track-level configurations such as R+ exclusive carbon fiber package and SMC engine hood. Using a 420kW supercharging pile, it can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Lotus Eletre is equipped with 5 LCD screens and a strip of light that runs through the center console and changes colors to reflect different vehicle statuses. The center console screen can be folded and features a built-in Qualcomm 8155 chip that is compatible with 5G networks, supports OTA upgrades, and features voice recognition technology.
In addition, the new car is equipped with four 128-line LiDAR sensors, seven 8MP cameras, and 4D millimeter wave radar, matched with two 7nm Orin chips from NVIDIA with 508TOPS computing power. It also has a One-Box braking system, air suspension, CDC, active stabilizer bar, rear-wheel steering, and vehicle stability system.
As one of the top three supercar brands alongside Porsche and Ferrari, Lotus has embarked on a comprehensive transformation towards electrification and intelligence. In 2023, Lotus will celebrate its 75th anniversary, and today its first pure electric supercar SUV Eletre is officially delivered to users after its transformation.
