On April 18th, LI AUTO announced at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show that it will officially enter a new stage of development under the “Dual Energy Strategy”, fully promoting “intelligence” and “electricity”.
In addition to announcing that the lifetime free LI AD Max 3.0’s City NOA will begin internal testing for users this quarter, LI AUTO also announced an 800V supercharging solution that can charge for 10 minutes and achieve a range of 400km (248 miles). The core technology is based on the third-generation power semiconductor high-voltage electric drive system, with a 4C charging-capable battery, a wide-temperature-range thermal management system, and a 4C supercharging network.
LI AUTO also announced that it will continue to improve the construction of its ultra-fast charging network in the next three years. The maximum output power of LI AUTO’s 4C ultra-fast charger will reach 480 kW.
By the end of this year, more than 300 high-speed ultra-fast charging stations will be built, covering four major economic regions in China: Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing Area. By 2025, LI’s ultra-fast charging network will consist of 3,000 stations, covering 90% of China’s highways and major cities.
Before the end of May, the first batch of 25 LI AUTO supercharging stations will start trial operation and will be open to all electric vehicle owners. Each station will be equipped with three fast chargers and one 4C ultra-fast charger.
LI AUTO has also announced its product plan for before 2025. LI AUTO stated that with the release of pure electric solutions, LI AUTO will also enter a new stage of combining range extension and pure electric power. By 2025, LI AUTO will have a product layout of “1 super flagship + 5 range-extended electric vehicle models + 5 high-voltage pure electric vehicle models”, targeting the market above 200,000 RMB (31,000 USD) to fully meet the needs of household users. LI AUTO also stated that the first pure electric vehicle model will become the world’s first model equipped with CATL 4C Kirin battery.
