On July 4th, it was reported that the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer electric touring car was exposed during road testing in Germany, and the whole vehicle was not disguised, allowing for a complete view of the model. Many users commented below the video that the ID.7 Tourer does not look like a traditional touring car, but more like a crossover SUV.
Volkswagen previously shared the interior and exterior renderings of the ID.7 Tourer electric touring car. It can be seen that the touring car has a fairly high roofline and a high hood, and the overall style is closer to an SUV.
It can be seen that it adopts the same design of the through-type taillights as the previously released ID.7 VIZZION, and the shape is also fuller. From the side, the overall body lines are relatively slim, and the design of multiple waistlines adds rich layers to the body.
In terms of body size, the length, width, and height are 4940/1860/1530mm, and the wheelbase is 2970mm. Earlier reports indicated that the model is equipped with a 286 horsepower rear-wheel drive system, offering two versions with a range of 382 miles (614.8 kilometers) and 435 miles (700 kilometers), respectively.
Volkswagen may also release an AWD GTX variant of the wagon, which sacrifices range but increases horsepower.
