According to the introduction, compared to the second generation launched over a year ago, the new generation of automated work vehicles has increased its load capacity from about 400kg to about 910kg. Its loading area is about the size of two pallets, and it is lower than before, making it easier to load and unload goods.

At the same time, the third generation of autonomous driving is faster than before, reaching approximately 16 kilometers per hour with a range of up to 10 hours. In addition, during the driving process, it can rely on components such as GPS, radar, LiDAR, and cameras on the front of the car to more accurately avoid obstacles and navigate through “challenging” terrain.

Additionally, managers can also perform remote control of it through the cloud. Honda stated, “Past field tests have already proven that multiple Honda autonomous work vehicles can transport building materials and goods along a predetermined route with precision.”

Honda announced that the third-generation autonomous work vehicle is ready to address the industry’s labor shortage and construction site transportation issues, and is seeking potential partners at the CONEXPO construction trade show in Las Vegas on March 14.
