On August 10th, it was announced that Great Wall Motors officially launched the GWM brand for the Indonesian market at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2023. Several models were showcased, including the Tank 500 HEV, Haval H6 HEV, Haval JOLION HEV, and ORA 03.

Great Wall Motors (GWM) stated that Indonesia is the ninth country market that GWM has entered in the ASEAN region. This is an important step in the development of the GWM brand and demonstrates Great Wall Motors’ long-term commitment to the regional market.

It has been found that Great Wall Motors’ entry into Indonesia is its latest move to deepen its presence in Southeast Asia. Currently, Great Wall Motors has operations in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Brunei.
Great Wall Motors recently released its production and sales data for July, selling 109,091 new vehicles that month, a year-on-year increase of 7.03%. Sales of new energy vehicles reached 28,920 units, accounting for 26.51% of total sales, both reaching new highs. Overseas sales reached 27,007 units, a year-on-year increase of 83.6%, and for the fifth consecutive month, exceeded the 20,000-unit threshold.
