China exports 87000 EVs in February

China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released February 2023 auto export data. The data shows that EV vehicle exports in February were 87,000 units, up 5.3% YoY and 79.5% YoY; EV vehicle exports in January-February were 170,000 units, up 62.8% YoY.

In February 2023, Chinese auto companies exported 329,000 units, up 9.4% YoY and 82.2% YoY; passenger cars exported 271,000 units, up 8.3% YoY and 85.8% YoY; commercial vehicles exported 58,000 units, up 15.1% YoY and 67.2% YoY. From January to February, auto companies exported 630,000 units, up 52.9% YoY; passenger cars exported 522,000 units, up 57.7% YoY; commercial vehicles exported 108,000 units, up 32.9% YoY. The export of passenger cars was 522,000 units, up 57.7% year-on-year, while the export of commercial vehicles was 108,000 units, up 32.9% year-on-year.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) released EV vehicle production and sales data on March 10. According to the data, the production and sales of EV vehicles in February were 552,000 units and 525,000 units respectively, up 48.8% and 55.9% year-on-year. 977,000 units and 933,000 units of EV vehicles were produced and sold from January to February respectively, up 18.1% and 20.8% year-on-year.
