On May 6th, BMW Group’s MINI released a press release announcing details about the 2024 models of the MINI Cooper E and MINI Cooper SE electric cars.
According to reports, the 2024 MINI Cooper E electric car will be equipped with a 40.1kWh battery with a range of 300 kilometers (183 miles); the MINI Cooper SE will be equipped with a 54.2kWh battery with a range of 400 kilometers (248 miles).
The 2024 MINI Cooper E/Cooper SE adopts a completely new electrical system design, which increases interior space and alleviates the cramped feeling of car owners by placing the battery on the bottom of the frame.
Aside from increasing interior space, MINI also provides a more fun and engaging driving experience by lowering the center of gravity. The 2024 MINI Cooper E has a power output of 135 kW (181 hp), while the Cooper SE features a front-wheel drive design with 160 kW (214 hp) of horsepower.
