AION’s first electric supercar, Hyper SSR, under the AION brand has recently appeared on the production line. From the pictures, this car, which claims to be “China’s first supercar,” is available in six body colors: orange, white, silver, blue, green, and yellow.
It is reported that the production line is located inside the first factory of AION. The car utilizes new technologies such as carbon fiber, and many of these techniques are being used for the first time in a Chinese car factory. As there were no robotic arms seen, it appears to be a production line assembled purely by hand. This is also reported to be China’s first mass production line for supercars, which holds historical significance.
Hyper SSR adopts a flat design concept, with a compact and stylish front face. The slender headlights on both sides are designed in an “L” shape, and the segmented LED light strip increases recognition. The large area of the lower front bumper is designed with ventilation holes, enhancing the sporty feel of the front face.
The side of the Hyper SSR has a smooth line, with an outwardly protruding waistline on the door panel, enhancing its three-dimensional feel. In addition, the car also uses exaggerated wheel rims, making the side more plump. In terms of size, the Hyper SSR measures 4538/1988/1238 millimeters in length, width, and height respectively.
The rear design of the car is also very complex. There is a high-mounted brake light on the roof that integrates with the rear camera. The slim, elongated taillights below are complemented by the diffuser device and the retractable spoiler on the rear bumper, further highlighting the sporty look of the car.
Hyper SSR’s interior design is simple and elegant, equipped with a 14.6-inch suspended central control screen and an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel. The hexagonal steering wheel is made of carbon fiber material, and it has a dial-type electronic shift mechanism.
In terms of power, the Hyper SSR will be equipped with a front and rear dual-motor four-wheel drive system, with a maximum power of 1225 horsepower. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is only 1.9 seconds. In addition, the car is also equipped with ELSD electronic limited-slip differential, SDC intelligent variable damping shock absorber, and R-EPS steering gear to optimize dynamic balance and improve handling performance.
It is reported that the Hyper SSR has started pre-sales, with a pre-sale price of 1.286 million yuan for the base version and 1.686 million yuan for the Ultimate track version. The specific listing and delivery time is currently unclear.
