NIO has launched a new electric SUV called the ES6. The car has two battery options: a 75kWh battery that can go up to 490km, and a 100kWh battery that can go up to 625km. You can also rent the battery if you choose the BaaS program. The ES6 is built on NIO’s NT2 platform and has a “Design for AD” design.
The ES6 is NIO’s third SUV on the NT2 platform. It has a new design that is more simple than the old model. It has split headlights, a sensor roof, flat side windows, and a through-style taillight. The car is 4854mm long, 1995mm wide, and 1703mm high, with a wheelbase of 2915mm.
The new ES6 comes in ten colors, including a new color called “Galaxy Purple”. The inside has four colors and uses renewable rattan wood and HAPETX biologically-synthesized leather. It also has a queen co-pilot, 7.1.4 Dolby sound, and AR/VR technology.
The ES6 has Aquila NIO super sensing, Adam NIO supercomputing, and NAD automatic driving technology. It has a front and rear motor, with a maximum power of 150kW and 210kW, respectively. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and brake from 100 km/h to 0 in 34.5 meters. It has a range of 490km for the standard battery and 625km for the long-range battery.
The CEO of NIO, William, said that the 150kWh battery will be used in July. The ES6 also supports external discharge.
