Wuling Motors delivered a batch of Global Car Air EVs in Indonesia

On April 30th, Wuling Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian government for a new energy project investment, and delivered a batch of Wuling’s first global electric vehicle, the Wuling Air EV, to the Indonesian government as a service vehicle for the ASEAN Summit in 2023. At the same time, the power battery pack produced by Wuling’s supply chain partner, Guoxuan High-Tech, in Indonesia has been officially delivered.

Since the Wuling Air EV was launched in Indonesia in August 2022, the cumulative sales have exceeded 8,600 units, with a market share of 80% in the local new energy vehicle market. SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first overseas production base was officially put into operation in Indonesia in 2017. Currently, the cumulative production and sales in the Indonesian market have exceeded 100,000, creating more than 10,000 upstream and downstream jobs and establishing 140 dealer service outlets.

Media previously reported that at the G20 summit in November 2022, 300 Wuling Air EVs appeared as official vehicles at the Bali venue, with prices ranging from IDR 238 million to IDR 295 million (approximately USD 16,800 to USD 20,850) in Indonesia. The Wuling Air EV has CLTC ranges of 200km (124 miles) and 300km (186 miles), and battery capacities of 26.7kWh, 26.5kWh, 17.3kWh, and 28.4kWh.
