Lucid releases road test video for new SUV Gravity, is the new car coming soon?

According to the official statement, the new car has a 7-seat layout and boasts “comfortable seats, sports car driving dynamics, and a greater range than any SUV on the market today.”

In addition, the vehicle will feature a new Glass Cockpit high-resolution display screen and will be equipped with the next-generation Lucid UX operating system.

Currently, the new car is in the trial production stage.

Previously, Lucid had stated that Gravity would release detailed configuration information and open bookings in early this year, with deliveries starting in 2024.

The previously released Lucid Air is equipped with the LEAP pure electric platform and DreamDrive Pro assisted driving system, with an EPA range of up to 516 miles (approximately 830 km) and a price range of $87,400 to $249,000.

The top-of-the-line Sapphire version of the Lucid Air is equipped with three motors, with a maximum power output of over 1,200 horsepower, a zero to 60 mph acceleration time of less than 2 seconds, and a top speed of approximately 200 mph. The company claims that all future Lucid models will offer the Sapphire version.

In 2022, Lucid delivered 7,180 vehicles and had a net loss of $1.304 billion for the year.

On December 9, 2022, Elon Musk commented on Lucid on Twitter, stating “They are not long for this world.”
