On August 12th, according to the automotive media outlet Carscoops, MINI is making progress in its electrification process, and its racing brand JOHN COOPER WORKS (JCW) will also be launching an electric version.
Based on the road test photos released by the media, the 2025 electric version of the MINI JCW car features a new bumper and sporty air intake which has a split design and a single bar. This gives the car a more aggressive appearance.
The side profile of the vehicle is nearly identical to the regular model, with the exception of double five-spoke wheels and a sloping roof. It is anticipated that a two-tone color scheme will be utilized.
Note: The new MINI electric vehicle’s interior will continue to feature the iconic circular OLED central screen, equipped with a 9.4-inch (240mm) display with a borderless design. This screen will run on the Android-based MINI Operating System 9 infotainment system.
At present, there is no information available regarding the power of the new car. However, it is worth noting that the all-new MINI COOPER SE has a maximum electric motor power of 218 horsepower. It is expected that the JCW version will improve upon this performance, with an estimated range of 300-400km.
According to a message, the all-new MINI electric vehicle is set to debut at the Munich Motor Show in September of this year. Production will begin in November and the vehicle is planned for release in 2024. The high-performance JCW version is expected to be released slightly later.
